FROM OUR DIRECTOR REGARDING COVID-19 SAFETY COMPLIANCE
In the midst of the most recent stay at home orders we remotely continue the important conversation of how to to safely return to services with out compromising the integrity of what we offer. What do participants want during and post pandemic? How do we put families with legitimate safety concerns at ease? How have priorities changed?
Under the guidelines set by Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) we have modified the way we will offer services taking into account the requests of our participants, safety, comfort level and relevance of the content we offer. Schedules will be more individualized and cover a wider range of services than day services previously could render.
During stay at home orders and alternative schedules, services are now accessible remotely online through our website. Classes are offered through Zoom in both group and individually paced options. Weekly one on one time with instructors is available to assist with community or daily living needs. We now offer support and instruction to family members (or support persons) with accessing on-line and remote resources. In an effort to make our services available to all participants we have a limited number of laptops that can be borrowed if needed.
Please feel free to contact me or Michelle for more information about services offered. We will safely get through this and become stronger, wiser and more self-sufficient than we were before.
