Jamie Brewer has been acting since she was in her 8th grade school play. Since then she dreamed of being a professional actress. This now 36 year old is not just a famous professional actress, appearing in several episodes of the Emmy Award winning series “American Horror Story”, “Southland”, “Switched At Birth” and “Love You More”. She’s also played in several films and is the first woman with Down syndrome to walk the red carpet as a model during New York Fashion Week in February of 2015. In 2018, she became the first woman with Down syndrome to play the lead role in an off-Broadway play “Amy and the Orphans”. She’s also a very vocal advocate for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities, working to make Texas legislators to remove the “r-word” from all articles of government.
